• Brewed Witches is a personal book and café diary that we run for fun. Everything here is our own opinion.
• You are welcome to read the site and link to it. Please do not copy our texts or photos without asking.
• We try to be accurate, but we cannot promise that every detail (opening hours, prices, book details) is always right or up to date.
• Please be kind when you write to us or join one of our gatherings.

1. Who we are

2. Reviews and opinions

Our reviews, our ratings (the moons) and our recommendations are personal opinions. They are not professional advice, and they are not statements of fact about any book, author, café or business. We describe our own experience on the day we read the book or visited the place.

At the moment nobody pays us for reviews and we do not earn money from links. If that ever changes, we will mark it clearly as advertising.

3. Accuracy

We take care to be correct, but details such as opening hours, prices, addresses, menus and event dates can change. Please check with the café, the publisher or the organiser before you rely on them. We do not promise that the content is complete or up to date.

4. Copyright and use of our content

The texts, photos, illustrations and design of this website belong to us or are used with permission, unless it says otherwise. Book covers, quotations, and the names of products and venues belong to their owners and are shown here to review and talk about them.

You may read the site, share links to it and quote short passages with a clear credit and a link back. Please ask us first before you copy, republish or use our content in any other way, including copying it automatically.

5. Messages and other things you send us

If you write to us, join the Witch List or RSVP, please give true information and only send content that you are allowed to send. Do not send anything unlawful, hateful, abusive or harmful, and no advertising or spam. We may delete messages or stop replying without giving a reason. We never publish what you send us without asking you first. How we handle your data is explained on our Privacy & Policy page.

6. Gatherings and events

Our gatherings are informal meetups. An RSVP only tells us how many people to expect. It is not a contract and there is no fee unless we say so. Everyone takes part at their own responsibility and pays for their own food and drinks. Events take place in cafés and other venues that we do not run, and the venue's own rules apply. We may change, move or cancel an event, and we will tell the people who signed up as soon as we can.

7. Links to other websites

Our pages contain links to other websites, for example to cafés, shops, playlists or our Instagram account. We do not control those websites and we are not responsible for their content or how they handle data. Following a link is your own choice.

8. Availability of the website

We try to keep the website running, but we cannot promise that it is always available or free of errors. We may change or remove content, or close the website, at any time.

9. Liability

This website is free of charge. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for damage that arises from your use of the website or from relying on its content. This does not affect any liability that cannot be excluded by law, for example for harm to life, body or health, or for intent and gross negligence.

10. Governing law

Austrian law applies, without its rules on conflicts of laws. If you are a consumer, you keep the mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when the website or the law changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. If you keep using the website after a change, you accept the new version.
